CPL has started a few projects and have several in the planning stages. We will post them here when they get beyond the talking stage, and we are looking for help.
Success in our efforts will depend on getting the community involved. If they don’t know about us, they can’t make use of our services or volunteer to help us. We have started by placing flyers around the county, telling folks about events to support the shelter. When no event is scheduled, we will put up flyers advertising Caswell Pet LifeLine and asking for volunteers. We have had one article in the local paper, the Caswell Messenger. We have given one program to school children at the library. We can use help with all of these activities.
One way to find a home for a pet is to get them into a private rescue group who can focus on finding them a permanent home. We are creating a database of rescue groups across the country, with information about what species and breed of animal they take. Volunteers will soon be able to help matching shelter animals to rescue groups.
